Select SDS Max midsize hammers for fast concrete breakup and precise channel cuts. Each SDS Max demolition hammer delivers high impact energy. The SDS demolition hammer range adds an anti-vibration side grip to ease arm load and maintain steady control. Hardened steel gears and sealed lubrication bring long service life across demolition, drilling and chiselling tasks.
Q1. How much is shipping?
A. We ship free on orders over €75 anywhere in Ireland. Orders below €75 have a small delivery fee, shown at checkout. Most parcels arrive within 1–5 working days.
Q2. Which brands do you supply?
A. We stock leading names such as DEWALT and Milwaukee Power Tools, plus a full range of compatible accessories.
Q3. What is the difference between SDS Plus and SDS Max?
A. SDS Max uses an 18 mm shank and a larger chuck, allowing higher impact energy for faster drilling and chiselling in tough concrete. SDS Plus has a 10 mm shank for lighter tasks. Bits and chucks from the two systems do not fit each other.
Q4. When should I choose an SDS Max midsize hammer instead of SDS Plus?
A. Select an SDS Max midsize hammer for holes above 20 mm in concrete, for continuous chiselling, or for demolition where extra power cuts job time. Use SDS Plus for smaller anchor holes or lighter renovation work.
Q5. Are drill bits interchangeable between brands?
A. Yes. All SDS Max bits share the same 18 mm shank pattern, so you can use any SDS Max bit with any SDS Max hammer, regardless of brand.
Q6. Can I fit an SDS Plus bit into an SDS Max hammer?
A. No. The shank sizes differ, so an SDS Plus bit will not lock into an SDS Max chuck. Use an adaptor or select the correct bit type.
Q7. How do I change a bit on an SDS Max hammer?
A. Switch off and unplug the tool. Pull back the chuck sleeve, insert a lightly greased bit until it clicks, then release the sleeve. Tug the bit to confirm it is secure before starting work.
